Municipality of Damüls

Welcome to Damüls

The original Walser village of Damüls is located in the heart of Vorarlberg, right at the intersection between the Bregenzerwald, the Großes Walsertal biosphere reserve and the Laternsertal at 1,429 m above sea level.

The town of 350 inhabitants is located in the district of Bregenz and borders on all other districts of Vorarlberg (Bludenz, Feldkirch and Dornbirn). The main economic focus of the 20.92 km² municipality today is tourism, with around 200,000 overnight stays in the ski season and 100,000 in the summer season in around 2,500 guest beds.

Before 1950, agriculture dominated the village of Damüls.
