Route Furka Pass - Großes Walsertal

Motorcycle

Winding mountain roads, panoramic climbs and little traffic - Damüls-Faschina is made for racing bikes. The region is nestled between Bregenzerwald and Großes Walsertal and offers direct access to classics such as the Faschinajoch or Furkajoch.
If you start early, you often have the road to yourself. The first few meters of elevation gain roll in smoothly, later on wide views alternate with shady forest passages. Some ride at a sporty pace, others at a leisurely pace - what counts is being on the road.
The routes are varied, well developed and scenically impressive. Long climbs with even gradients, fast descents with wide bends, and always a short stop in between - at a fountain, on a bench or simply in the sun. There is hardly anything that pushes you. And that makes all the difference.
If you like, you can go far - into the Große Walsertal, over the Faschinajoch and into the quiet mountain ranges between Damüls and Sonntag. Those who prefer to stay close by will also find plenty of altitude meters and views around Damüls. And if you want to descend in between, just do it. No stress, no time pressure, just road, mountain and exercise.
In July 2025, the Tour of Austria will once again pass through the region - for one day, the pros will show how fast it can go. And then the peace and quiet returns. Just like always up here.
