Mountain biking in Vorarlberg

Between Bregenzerwald and Großes Walsertal - through the summer on two wheels

Well-signposted trails lead through quiet forests, across flowering alpine meadows and up to panoramic passes. Whether sporty on a mountain bike or relaxed on an e-bike - if you're out and about here, you'll soon realize that this is more than just a bike tour. This is a piece of summer, a day in the mountains.

Many routes run along forest and freight roads - some are challenging, others invite you to enjoy. Along the way, you will encounter clear streams, the sound of cowbells - and perhaps a bench with a view that you weren't even looking for.

Mountain bikes travel free of charge on the Uga Express, and e-bikes are also inexpensive. You can almost always stop for a bite to eat - at an alpine pasture or simply wherever it suits you.

If you want to delve deeper, join a guided e-bike tour - offered by the Bregenzerwald bike school and directly in Damüls-Faschina. Included: technical tips, stories and routes that you might not have found on your own.

Cycling in Damüls-Faschina: get out and about at your own pace - with an eye for the essentials.

Mountain biking tours

Out and about by bike, bus and train

With the Bregenzerwald & Großes Walsertal Guest Card, you can relax on the go - and take your bike with you. The Uga-Express takes you and your bike up the mountain at no extra charge. A small transport fee is charged for e-bikes.

Bike transport is also free on the cycle buses - ideal if you are planning a tour or want to shorten the return journey after the tour. However, bike transport is not provided on the regular buses.

And if you fancy cooling off in between: the Guest Card gives you free entry to many outdoor pools in the region. So you can quickly turn a summer day on your bike into a whole vacation day.
