What is an Italian doing in the Bregenzerwald?
Born in Bologna and adopted by the Alps, Andrea has long been fascinated by the flavors and aromas that nature offers us and their combination with different cultures. In 2009, he began to enter the world of coffee professionally, embarking on an international journey that led him to discover the different faces and aspects of coffee: from coffee preparation to the art of roasting and extraction, the transformation from bean to drink and the cultural aspect, meeting coffee farmers and traveling to coffee-producing countries.
After more than 10 years of traveling, Andrea decided in 2020 to open Trevo Coffee Roastery in Bregenzerwald, a small artisan roastery, a place where coffee is celebrated. He buys high-quality coffee in small quantities through direct relationships with producers and cooperatives. Andrea combines Italian tradition and innovation in the art of roasting to preserve the different flavor characteristics of coffee from different countries.
It is an important aspect to show and tell what is behind a coffee. Andrea shares his coffee knowledge on a professional level through various training courses, including a QGrader (equivalent of a sommelier) and a barista trainer license. In this way, the hard work behind a cup of high-quality coffee is respected. Not all coffee is the same.
