Schattenburg Castle, Feldkirch

Schattenburg Castle in Feldkirch is the town's landmark and was built in the 12th century. The lords of Montfort ruled here. The castle houses an impressive museum. The former rooms of the bailiff's administration now house a unique collection of Gothic art. A rich collection of weapons can be viewed in the keep. The Schattenburg also houses important relics from Feldkirch's past.
