Mountain railroads in the surrounding area

From the high-altitude village of Damüls, the 4-seater chairlift "Uga Express" takes hikers up to the hiking area at 1,800 meters above sea level.
Various hikes to alpine huts or to the summits of Kanisfluh and Damülser Mittagsspitze start at the mountain station. Mountain bikers will also find the best conditions.

Faschina is located in the Großes Walsertal biosphere park. The Stafelalpe panorama lift, a double chairlift, runs up to the mountain station at 1,865 meters above sea level. The Großes Walsertal, a neighboring valley of the Bregenzerwald, has been a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 2000.

The cable car, which was newly built a few years ago, takes hikers up the mountain in a short time. Even during the ride, you can enjoy a beautiful view over the village and the valley from the 10-seater gondolas. The Diedamskopf near Au-Schoppernau is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in the Bregenzerwald. The comfortable 8-seater gondola lift takes you up to the top. The summit of the 2,090-metre Diedamskopf is just a few minutes' walk from the mountain station. Paragliders and hang-gliders also find their launch sites here.

The modern cable car runs from Bezau to the Sonderdach middle station and the Baumgarten mountain station. The Bezau cable car takes hikers, paragliders and anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful view up the mountain. There is a panoramic restaurant with a terrace right next to the mountain station.

The Sonntag-Stein hiking area can be reached by cable car. If you prefer a leisurely hike, take the Klangraum.Stein theme trail from the mountain station. Sporty hikers can climb the Wandfluh or the Breithorn and enjoy the breathtaking views. Climbers will find their challenge on the Wandfluh climbing wall.

The 4-seater chairlift "Steffisalp-Express" runs from Warth to the mountain station at 1,822 meters above sea level. Popular destinations and trails include the Hochalphütte, the Körbersee lake, the Karhorn circular hiking trail, the Wartherhorn and the Karhorn via ferrata.
