Juppenwerkstatt, Riefensberg

The Bregenzerwald has a traditional and very typical costume in the Austrian Alpine region - the so-called "Juppe". The traditional Bregenzerwald costume is still made today in the Juppe workshop in Riefensberg. It is also a museum and course venue for traditional costume making. A Bregenzerwald Juppe cannot be bought ready-made in any store. It is usually an heirloom that is passed down within the family and is highly sought-after and expensive nowadays.
