Why go far when good things are so close? The parish church of St. Nicholas in Damüls is one of the highlights of Vorarlberg's art history with its late medieval wall paintings, its figural decor and its solitary location on the church hill. The church was built in the 15th century. The interior was baroquized in 1630 with altars whose figures are attributed to Erasmus Kern. The pictorial decoration on the walls is particularly rich.
