The history of skiing in Vorarlberg dates back about 140 years.
The focus of the permanent exhibition at the ski museum is on three areas. Beginning with the origins of skiing in Scandinavia, significant Vorarlberg ski pioneers are presented. A second focus is on ski production, which was initially in the hands of carpentry businesses. That Vorarlberg is a region with a great racing tradition is proven by the long list of medals won by racers at the Olympic Winter Games and World Ski Championships. All these successful athletes are represented in the exhibition with objects.
