Please note that snow chains may be required for the journey in winter! Winter tires are compulsory (in winter road conditions) in Austria from 01 November to 15 April.
Guests often try to reach Damüls via the Furkajoch in winter. Please note that from December to the end of May/June, depending on the snow conditions, the Furkajoch is CLOSED FOR WINTER and the road cannot be used, even if your navigation device calculates this route.
In summer, there is also the option of traveling over the Furkajoch. This narrow pass road can be reached via Rankweil - Laterns. We would advise against taking the mountain road, which is partly single-lane, even in summer.
