Walserherbst celebrates this diversity in order to counteract a grey monotony. We do this with the colours of music, language and design - embedded in a unique cultural and natural landscape that both inspires and grounds us.
Dialect author Erika Hössli has motivated participants in her writing workshop to write texts for the picture-word compositions ‘Woörtr luagan - Bildr schwaätzn’. These show digital photomontages by artist Heidi Comploj, supplemented by Walser dialect words by Elisabeth Burtscher. All motifs are from the valley. The series of images was first shown at Walserherbst 2023 - now the works enter into dialogue with texts from the writing workshop. The readings will take place at three locations. Among others will read: Zita Zech, Maria Etlinger, Marietta Sicher, Jasmin Burtscher, Ilse Peter, Monika Bischof, Klaudia Rinderer, Ursula Gassner, Rudolf Domig, Heinz Studer and Bernadette Küng. Musical accompaniment by Sarah Siren (harp) in Faschina.
